Custom Order: Kelly & Kid!

A friend of a friend ordered a custom designed nameplate for another friend after seeing this adorable Heist ring.

What makes me really happy about this ring is that "Kid" is actually Kelly's dog! I love it!

Mr. and Mrs.

I wanted to share a special gift I made for my BFF Melody (MeMelodia) for her bridal shower. When I received her wedding invite in the mail, I was immediately in love with the beautiful red wax seal on the flap impressed with her and her fiancé, Ben's, initials.

My initial thought was how awesome it would be as a little charm so I made a mold of the seal and made a slightly smaller charm version in fine silver. To accompany it I made the same piece as a key chain for Ben.

I was so happy with the way they turned out but I was burning up inside having to wait a few weeks to give it to her. I'm proud to say the wait was worth it! Based on the texts I've received since the party ended ("I'm still on Cloud 9!" "Ben loves the keychain!") I'm going to assume it was a great success!

Congratulations Melody and Ben! I can't wait to spend your big day with you!!! xoxo

Custom Order: Quartz Bride's Ring!

My BFF, Melody, of MeMelodia brought me this amazing Quartz geode to make into a 3-finger ring that she wanted to wear to her Engagement party. This is what we came up with! It turned out great, looked great on the bride-to-be, and got a whole lot of attention <3

Custom Order: Shaiya Baby Bracelet

My BFFs Angela and Shawn are expecting their first child, a daughter named Shaiya, in just a few short weeks. Angela had contacted me about getting a custom-made baby bracelet for the new baby and soon after, Shawn contacted me to get Angela the bracelet for Christmas. I conveniently "forgot" to mention the bracelet to Angela again and Shawn and I got to work. We decided on a cut-out design instead of the typical engraving and then once I got to work on it, I decided a double-layer would not only look more interesting, it would also be sturdier. I must say I am very pleased with how the bracelet turned out but more importantly, Angela called to report that she absolutely loves it! Success!!!

A New England Wedding

One of my great friends, Courtney, is getting married this weekend in Portland, Maine. Several months ago she asked me to make a triple charm necklace for her Bridesmaids and some other charms to give as gifts.

She was trusting enough to give me full discretion but specified that she wanted it to match the theme of the wedding, New England, lighthouses and some sort of lobster charm. A lobster?! Well yes, because lobsters mate for life!

So the above are the charms I came up with for the gifts, and below, the bridesmaid charms!
A lighthouse, a lobster (with a blue stone to match the New England/Nautical theme of the wedding) and each Bridesmaid's initial.

I'll be back soon to report on all the wedding details!

Custom Order: Karate Kid!

I'm so excited to report that Heist was chosen by director Harald Zwart to provide the gifts that he will be giving to the cast of the new Karate Kid movie! I created 30 fine silver charms (in both ladies and mens versions) of the movie's logo featuring the movie's star Jaden Smith!
The LA premiere is happening today so hopefully I will have some photos to share soon! xo

Lolliblog & Rock 'N Roll Bride

You might remember that a while back I wrote about a batch of Knuckle rings that I made for the lovely Kristi. Well she was nice enough to send me a picture of her bridesmaids wearing the rings, and then I received an Etsy message from ceeleedesigns alerting me to the fact that they featured me on their blog and that it was also picked up by Rock 'N Roll Bride, pretty cool huh?!

I must say, the wedding turned out amazing, how gorgeous does Kristi look! And the photography looks great too! Congrats!

Update: East Side Bride has also done a little write up on the Knuckle Rings at Kristi's wedding! (Big HUUUUUGE thanks to MeMelodia for being my informal brand manager!)

Custom Order: "Elyse" Nameplate

My great friend, Lauren, recently ordered a nameplate for her cousin. Not exactly the graffiti nameplate (not quite age appropriate for a 13 year old), but something "fun." Well here's what I came up with. I'm happy to report that it was a hit!

Do you want one too? Something similar? Something completely different? Just ask!
