Elizabeth Gilbert on Creativity

This is a pretty great speech from Eat. Pray. Love.'s Elizabeth Gilbert via TED.com. She talks about the impossible expectations placed upon artists and other creative types. It sounds pretty familiar and if you're in a creative field I'm sure you can relate. Check it out!

Beginning to End

There are very few albums that are so amazing that I can listen to it from beginning to end without needing to skip a not-so-great track. So when an album comes along that does just that, of course I get excited. I get even more excited when the band in question happens to be my great friends (and fellow University of Miami, School of Music alums), ANR.

You MUST check out their album "Stay Kids" ASAP. Pay particular attention to my favorite song on the album, "A Year of Solitude Pays Off." Those vocals...wow.

Get the album on iTunes.

And here, a great live video of another one of my faves "Endless Fields of Mercury"

What 1750 Degrees Looks Like

...and the experiments continue! A fresh batch of Copper pieces came out of the kiln a few hours ago, and I must say I really like the way everything is coming together. I've still got a long way to go on this collection but I'm working hard and I can't wait to share it with you!

A thumbs up, as captured by my friend Kelly, who hung out with me in my studio on Sunday while I did some experimenting...
