As Seen In: Oslo Airport Magazine

Oslo Airport Magazine, featuring Karate Kid director, Harald Zwart, wearing his Heist custom-made Karate Kid logo charm!

Thanks to my great friend, Ellen, for sending the magazine all the way from Oslo!

House Boat Living

I'm saving up for a boat to (hopefully) live on (seriously) and I'm absolutely in love with the sailboat owned by Blake Mycoskie, chief "shoe giver" at Toms. Wow.

New Zealand Love

I always love when my customers send in pictures, but I especially love when the pictures come from far off places like this one. This picture was sent in from New Zealand! Awesome!!! Thanks Ellyse (and Henrietta!)

Keep 'em coming, everyone! xo

Take Me Somewhere

I've been so completely obsessed with the band, Tennis, that I've been listening to them on repeat for about a week now. Well, my obsession just got 10 times more intense once I discovered their story.

Turns out Tennis is made up of a married couple from Colorado who saved up to purchase a 30 foot sailboat which they used to sail the Eastern Seaboard for a year. Upon their return, they decided to tell the stories of their journey through their songs beginning with the initial dream of sailing in "Take Me Somewhere" (one of my favorites on the album) and ending their journey in "Baltimore."

GREAT look! I'm still digging the kneehighs over tights thing.

Spring 2011. Adorable and slightly reminiscent of this, no?

Brunch n' Bazaar

We are SO excited to announce that we are going to be teaming up with Launch Arte and Supermarket Creative for 2 Sundays in March at the Brunch n' Bazaar!

Here's a little bit of information (via Miami.com):

"Thanks to the folks at Cafeina and Supermarket Creative, the debut of its weekly garden-and-gallery breakfast series Brunch N’ Bazaar on Sunday, February 20, 2011, featuring a pop-up restaurant in the gallery that allows for indoor dining and an open-air market curated by New York-based Launche Arte. Guests will enjoy a newly designed menu by Executive Chef Leo Gutierrez that includes both health-conscious and hangover-cure selections, along with $20/two-hour unlimited mimosas. Cheers to that."

We will be there on Sunday, February 27th and Sunday, March 13th from 11AM - 4PM (with a Bloody Mary in hand!) Hope to see you there!

To market, to market

Just some snaps from the Launch Arte market (our very first!) this past Saturday.
  1. A view of the (very undecorated) Heist booth
  2. The view from the booth
  3. Happy Heist customers!
As far as our first day at a market went, I'd say it was pretty successful. I learned what I need to improve for the next market (THIS Saturday!) so next time will be even better.
I hope to see you at a market soon!
