Heist-Designed Geode Fabric!

I am so happy to share with you one of the exciting new things I've been working on. Introducing Heist's new Geode fabrics - designed in-house by yours truly! I'm in love.

The two clutches above are now available in the Webstore and Etsy Shop and I'm planning to use this fabric on several other bag designs. Stay tuned!

PS-Thanks to everyone who came out to El Mini Market yesterday at Wood Tavern. We sipped some 'Boogie Lemonade' and met tons of cool new friends. We won't be able to make it this month but we hope to be back in August!

New!

Some new items have been added to the Etsy shop today. And be sure to check out our shiny new webstore on our site!

Our new silver shark tooth rings. Wear them regular, as a first knuckle ring or stack them up!

Our leather pouches and business card holders are now available in black leather.

Heist Who?

We did a quick interview with Dilara Tuncer over on her Tumblr. Read the interview for the background story on Heist, why we use recycled materials and more!

Under $50

Did you know Heist has a wide selection of items that are under $50? If you're looking for a gift for someone or have a strict budget, you can still get high-quality, hand crafted goodies. Here are some of my favorites from the Heist Etsy Store.

Recycled Leather Pouches, Large - $25 and Business Card Size - $18

Army Strong

New in the shop! A new stock of 'Change is Good' change purses. These are made from U.S. Army M16 disassembly mats which I hand dip-dyed in a blue dye bath and then combined with recycled leathers.

There's one bag available in each of 5 colors: red, magenta, neon yellow, olive green and aqua.

Tigers on a Gold Leash

Have you heard of Lorde yet? She's a 16 year old singer/schoolgirl from Auckland, New Zealand who evidently sold out her show the other night in 73 seconds flat. And I can't stop listening to her. Check out her Love Club EP and its addicting song "Royals" (below) which recently debuted on the New Zealand charts at number 1.

Have a happy weekend everyone!

Instagram

I finally made the time to start a dedicated Heist Instagram account. Yes, I know it only takes about 2 minutes to create an account but I like to build it up in my mind for a while first. Follow us at @ILoveHeist.

Thanks to the survey taker who suggested the idea...and to everyone else who took the time to complete the survey. Have you taken it yet? Do me the favor and click here if you haven't had a chance yet.

It will only take you 2 minutes. Seriously. There, I've spared you the mental procrastination.

Selfie

I generally hate selfies but there's something about the Tuva Malmo blog that is captivating. Maybe it's that I love her style, or maybe it's just the beautiful photography that makes me love her style. Or maybe I'm just impressed that she takes most of her photos alone with a remote. Or it could just be that any photo taken in that amazing room will make you love style and photography. It's very confusing.

Beam and Anchor

If I ever make it out to the Pacific Northwest, my first stop is going to be Beam & Anchor in North Portland.

I can't even imagine how amazing it must be to work side by side with great artisans in such a beautiful space every day.

"A talented and diverse group of makers and their workshops make up the top floor and the bottom floor houses Beam & Anchor’s retail space, which features thoughtfully curated items from both new and vintage sources. The 100 year old farm table in our shop kitchen has become a gathering place for collaboration, bread breaking and story telling. We find as many excuses as we can to welcome the community into our space with the intention of fostering the exchange of ideas, the appreciation of craft and good, old-fashioned fun."

Could you take 2 minutes (seriously...only 2 minutes) and take a nine question survey?

No sign-up required! Only multiple choice questions! Boys and girls! All ages!
It's easy-peasy. Just click HERE.

As Seen In: What I Wore

It's nice to see Jessica Quirk over at What I Wore still rocking her Heist "Q" Scrabble Piece Pendant. See her wearing it on her blog back in 2010 (and also on Coach.com!), on the cover of Matchbook Magazine in 2011 and on the blog again in 2012. I think it's pretty awesome to see all the ways she's styled it over the years. And shout out to that little search bar on the top of my blog for helping me relive some Heist history so easily!
