Athletes Planking

Planking: The lying down game, also known as planking, is an activity, popular in various parts of the world, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved.

That last shot, submitted by the Steelers' Maurkice Pouncey, was accompanied by the caption "Please start football soon asap [we] are running out of things to do!! Now plank that!"

Patti and Robert

I am currently in the middle of devouring Patti Smith's "Just Kids," and loving every second of it. Everything about it is amazingly inspirational and I highly suggest you give it a read. I found this interview but I haven't read it yet as I'm currently in the middle of the book and I want to enjoy it without any shortcuts. Anyways, I'm sure it's a great article and I fully intend to read it after I finish the book!

Oh and uh...hello there Robert!

Then and Now

"In 1987 the British historian Mark Lewisohn invited me to collaborate on a book project about locations associated with The Beatles in London...On several research trips between 1987 and 1990 we visited Beatles sites together. In 1989 Adam Smith joined the project. It all resulted in the book "The Beatles' London" (Hamlyn. 1994)."

North Carolina: Dawson's Creek

Just a few cellphone snaps I took on my trip to Wilmington, NC. This particular batch happens to be taken in the location where they shot Dawson's Creek. I never watched the show, but visiting Jen and Dawson's TV homes makes me want to hit it up on Netflix! Regardless of the Dawson's Creek bit, this spot was one of the most beautiful I visited during my entire trip. I could sit on that dock for hours.

The Dead Photographers Project

The Dead Photographers Project is a collection of images curated by photographer James Dodd, who uses his father's removal company as the sole source of photos.

"Each photograph is collected through house clearances of the deceased, where unwanted items are discarded, including whole photography archives of the once keen photographers...If they didn’t become part of this collection, they would simply be disposed of and never see the light of day again."

Kendi Everyday

This girl has great style, is totally cute and is actually...witty?! Most fashion bloggers tend to be all about business in their posts but Kendi is just kind of downright hilarious. Although her style is not exactly me, I still find some inspiration in the way she puts her look together. And now that you've been formally introduced...I hope you do too!

Road Trip!

As if giving up your day job and heading out west to volunteer on a farm isn't awesome enough, my good friend, Tiffany, ventured out on a fun-filled road trip to get there. See a few of the shots that she took on her adventure above and be sure to visit her blog, Lieblingslauf, to see the pictures from all her other adventures too (trust me, she goes on plenty!)

And if you're into cooking, specifically the vegan variety, hop on over to Tiff's other blog, This Last Whole Earth, for interesting recipes, and beautiful food photos too...
