A few snaps I took with my phone in the studio during a little "crash course" in which I learned/brushed up on some jewelry-making techniques. I have some beautiful new pieces that I hope to share soon.

 One of the places that I've never been and have been dying to visit is the Pacific Northwest (ahem, Forks). Looking at these pics, can you really blame me?

Athletes Planking

Planking: The lying down game, also known as planking, is an activity, popular in various parts of the world, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game^. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play^. The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved.

That last shot, submitted by the Steelers' Maurkice Pouncey, was accompanied by the caption "Please start football soon asap [we] are running out of things to do!! Now plank that!"

Patti and Robert

I am currently in the middle of devouring Patti Smith's "Just Kids," and loving every second of it. Everything about it is amazingly inspirational and I highly suggest you give it a read. I found this interview but I haven't read it yet as I'm currently in the middle of the book and I want to enjoy it without any shortcuts. Anyways, I'm sure it's a great article and I fully intend to read it after I finish the book!
